Allora is a piece of furniture designed for the home. It was conceived with an intentional vagueness in order to invite different ways of functioning to the end user. Primarily it serves as a helpful step-up, for access to those out of reach places around the house, but because of its considered and playful form it sits as good company around other furnishings - it has charm and character, worth celebrating.

Like many of their projects, with Allora, the studio has navigated a through line of function, utility and quality. The aim was to find an expression of only what’s essential in the form and with no uncertain terms tell the user the story of it’s production. Allora does all of these things in one move, utilising the well trodden path of lamination in furniture, in both a fresh and timeless way.

The name Allora come from the Italian language, it’s a common-place word that is highly flexible in the way it’s used and context. In this sense the furniture and the word are the same.
